Tom Henry quits Knackers!

Following Knackers full band show in Keswick on 10 June 2006, Tom Henry, founder member of Knackers, has announced he is to leave the band after 19 years.

We wish Tom all the very best and hope that he will one day rejoin us for a few numbers (even) further down the line.  Until then, good luck Tom, and we look forward to seeing you soon without our instruments!

Knackers! once again played Strawberry Fair in Cambridge on the Wigwam Stage.  The crowd were up and dancing in no time and a good time was had by all.  Live pix courtesy of Ozzy - many thanks!

Knackers @ Strawberry Fair 04/06/05
We really enjoyed our first gig in 9 months on Strawberry Fair's Wigwam stage.  Great to play the new original tunes live and to see so many people enjoying them.  We raced through Papa B, Bim, Damson Gin, Strawberry Ska, Ragada Gagada, East Infection and Out In Front - a few inevitable wobbles in places, but all'n'all the vibe was just right and the rain held off til the very last number.

Special thanks to Mike Doris for helping us out on trombone standing in for Dan.

The Wam crew did a great job too, and we heard the sound was great out in front - big thanks to Sabir, Doog and all. We shifted a load of CDs - if you bought one we hope you love it, and thanks for supporting us.

Strawberry Fair is a free festival on Midsummer Common just north of the town centre and we will be on stage mid afternoon on the Bigwam Stage.

We are currently writing our first album of original material, which we will record in the spring.

In the bag so far are the tunes Papa B Skank, Bim!, Come Down Rocky, Ragada Gagada Knack, Damson Gin, Rowan's Reel, Knackers - Out in Front, and the Knack Lament, with more to come.

We're also putting out the feelers for a series of summer shows, which will be our first based around original tunes. It's only taken us 15 years, but its gonna be worth it!

Knackers are delighted to announce the release of their New Album in the first quarter of 2005.

The band are spending time in the studio in January 2005 working on their latest original material.
Much of the new songs and tunes were previewed at the lakes, and were received with a resounding 'thumbs up'.
